Say it with Cupcakes! Savoureux Cupcakery's Newest Addition!

Roses

Peonies

After the almost overwhelming success of the Mother's Day Bouquets, I've decided to keep the bouquets on the Savoureux menu. <3

If you'd like to try these on your own, here is a quick tutorial:

1 Pot of your choice
Floral Foam
Glass beads or rocks to weigh down the pots
Kabob skewers dyed green with food coloring
Printed paper of your choice
12 mini cupcakes
Icing dyed to your preference
Bag ties to secure the cupcakes to the skewers

Step 1: Get the pot and hot glue the floral foam to the bottom and then pour the beads or rocks around the foam covering all but the top of the foam.

Step 2. Take the skewers and after cutting out leaves from the paper, slide the leaves onto the skewers about halfway up.

Step 3:  Take the bag tie and wrap it tightly around the tip of the skewer about 1" from the tip

Step 4:  Take the tip of a knife and poke a tiny hole in the bottom of the cupcake so the skewer slides on easily and then slide the cupcake onto the skewer.

Step 5:  Stick the skewer into the floral foam in the center and after repeating the steps 2-4, arrange the cupcakes starting from the center and working your way out until you have the arrangement to your liking.

*Side Note* To make the rosettes, take a star tip and starting from the center of the cupcake, pipe a steady stream of icing turning the cupcake, not the tip clockwise until you're at the edge.  Of course, I'm a lefty so you righties turn counter-clock wise.

GOOD LUCK!!!
